Who says making a salad has to be work. Pull a few ingredients from the refrigerator, take care in preparing each ingredient for the salad, and arrange. It’s really just that easy. Here, I’ve chosen Girard’s Blue Cheese Vinaigrette, however, it goes without saying that for salad dressing, your own EVOO and red wine or champagne vinegar whisked together always makes a wonderful dressing. For an added touch, be sure to sprinkle freshly ground peppercorns on top of the salad after the dressing. Last night, we had Eggplant Parmesan along with this delicious salad, and I couldn’t imagine eating a more delicious meal. There truly is nothing like sharing a good meal at home, made with love, for your love.
Ingredients: Organic Romaine Lettuce Organic Slicer Tomato Goat’s Milk Feta Cheese Greek Peppers, stems removed and sliced Pitted Colossal Green Olives, sliced Girard’s Blue Cheese Vinaigrette Freshly cracked Tellicherry black peppercorns Directions: Thoroughly wash lettuce, and dice all ingredients to your liking. I recommend dicing lettuce to bite size pieces as no one likes to wrestle each piece to eat it. For the romaine hearts, just dice through them diagonally to minimize the heart. The more love you put into your salad, the better it will taste. Top with dressing before serving and freshly cracked pepper.
